    Peanut Butter Milkshake

    May 19, 2017 · 4 Comments

My 322nd recipe, "Peanut Butter Milkshake", an easy to make, rich, creamy and healthy milk shake. Rich with the flavor of peanut butter and the chillness from a vanilla ice cream to quench your summer thirst.

I usually do not buy Peanut Butter bottles from store. While peanuts and peanut butter are RK's favorite, I do not necessarily love its flavor. I am fine with once in a while handful of peanuts, but do not have a really good use for a bottle of peanut butter. I had purchased a bottle of peanut butter to make myself a batch of Peanut butter ice cream sandwich cookies on the other day. I really loved how the cookies turned out. Tasting peanutty, salty and sweet all at the same time. Having found out that I like the flavor of peanut butter in a sweet dish, I thought of making another sweet one today to finish off the remaining jar of peanut butter.

I am a big time fan of milkshakes. Not the ones which are made just with milk. But the ones made with a rich helping of ice cream. And such milkshakes becomes such an essential ingredient for keeping cool during the hot summer days. Hence, my initial thought was to try out a milkshake using the peanut butter. Nothing very fancy. But something straight up using just a few ingredients.

This Peanut Butter Milkshake uses exactly 3 ingredients. While Peanut Butter plays the role of flavor provider, the Vanilla ice cream lends sweetness and creaminess to the shake. And finally a dash of chilled milk is all it take to bring the shake to a drinkable consistency. Viola, a cold and healthy drink ready within the blink of your eye 😉

    Notes | FAQ

    - For garnish, you can keep the serving glass in the freezer of a few mins. Then drizzle some chocolate syrup on the sides before pouring the shake.
    - Adjust the quantity of all 3 ingredients based on taste preference.
    - Sweetness from the ice cream is just sufficient for the shake. If you want extra sweetness, add sugar while blending.
    - You can also use a chocolate ice cream, for making a chocolate peanut butter shake.
