Yeah, looks like my MIL knew this secret... RK says that, this peas pulao was probably the second most often found dish in his lunch box doing his school days, and he enjoyed it sooo much that he never complained... Still wondering what was the first most often made dish ??? You will have to wait to find out...
Green Peas Pulav (With Coconut Milk)
Green Peas Pulav
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Rice
- 1 Cup Coconut Milk (Thin)
- Salt - to taste
- 1 small Onion (Finely sliced)
- 4 cloves Garlic (Crushed whole)
- ¼ Cup Green peas
- 5 Cashew
- 4 Curry leaves
- 1 Green chilli (slit)
To temper
- ½ tsp Oil
- 1 Bay leaf
- 3 Cloves
- 2 Cardamom
- 1 small Cinnamon stick
- ¼ tsp Fennel Seeds
Instructions
- Leave the rice to soak in water. Heat the oil in a pressure cooker. Add the items mentioned under "To temper" in the order given.
