    French Toast (Eggless version)

    May 2, 2026 · Leave a Comment

My 326th recipe, β€œEggless French Toast Recipe” is a quick, delicious, and fuss-free breakfast that my family absolutely loves. As someone coming from a vegetarian, eggless kitchen, I’m always experimenting with ways to recreate classic favorites without compromising on taste.

Growing up and even now, Weekends in our home often remind me of our trips to IHOP, where my kids can never get enough of their waffles and French toast topped with fresh berries. Because of that, I was inspired to recreate a similar experience at homeβ€”using simple pantry ingredients, but with that same comforting, slightly sweet, berry-topped goodness.

This eggless French toast turns out beautifully soft inside with a lightly crisp edge. And it pairs wonderfully with all types of berries - strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries. Just a dash of syrup, or even a dusting of powdered sugar. It’s not just a breakfast favoriteβ€”it also works great as a quick after-school snack or a lunchbox treat for kids. The best part? It comes together in under 15 minutes, making it perfect for busy mornings.

If you’re looking for an easy eggless breakfast recipe, a kid-friendly meal, or a way to enjoy classic French toast without eggs, this recipe checks all the boxes.

    Notes | FAQ

    1. Do not soak the bread for too longβ€”quick dipping prevents sogginess and helps achieve a nice texture.
    2. Use vanilla-flavored custard powder for best taste.
    3. Cooking on low flame ensures even browning and soft texture inside.
