First, take a wide bowl and add 1 cup of milk. Then, add sugar, salt, cinnamon powder, and vanilla essence. Whisk well until combined.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix custard powder with ¼ cup milk, making sure there are no lumps.
Add this custard mixture to the milk mixture and whisk well.
Heat a pan and add a small amount of butter (about ½ tbsp for 2–3 slices). Keep the flame on low.
Once the pan is hot, dip each bread slice into the milk mixture on both sides (quick dip, do not soak too long). Place the dipped bread onto the pan.
Cook on low flame, flipping occasionally, until both sides turn golden brown.
Remove and transfer to a serving plate.
Before starting the next batch, wipe the pan with a paper towel/cloth and add fresh butter. Repeat the process.
Serve hot topped with fresh fruits, pancake syrup, and powdered sugar.
